Horticultural Sharp Sand Handy Pack from Kelkay

The Horticultural Sharp Sand improves the texture and drainage of soils and composts, the sand is washed and lime-free. Use the sharp sand when laying pavers or patio slabs.
Please keep in mind that natural materials will vary in size and colour, with some being significantly different.

When adding to compost, blend 4 part of garden soil or loam to 1 part Horticultural Sharp Sand for a perfect mix. Well drained soil is essential for growing alpine plants.
In warm weather, prevent alpines planted in dry pots from drying our by sinking the pots into damp sharp sand up to the rim. Keep the sand damp & water will pass through the sand to the pot.

Horticultural Sharp Sand is ideal for adding to compost to create a mixture for you root cuttings and propagated cuttings.
It’s also perfect for growing alpines as well as using as a top dressing for lawns.
